Construction Craft Training at ABC Central California Chapter
ABC and its members believe that a safe and skilled workforce is a more productive workforce. Our members recognize the value and importance of formalized skills training.  Our chapter is dedicated to providing world class craft training courses tailored to meet the needs of our membership. ABC partners with NCCER (National Center for Construction Education and Research) for our curriculum. NCCER curriculum is developed for the industry, by the industry. All ABC Craft instructors are Subject Matter Experts in the discipline in which they are teaching.

Registration for Construction Craft Training Classes

Craft Training is available exclusively to our members.  Company designees refer their employees for training.  Registration begins in June of each year for Fall courses and November of each year for Spring courses.    Applications must be completed in full and signed off by an authorized representative of your company in order to be eligible for class registration. Contact your company HR or Training department for details on enrolling in ABC’s craft training classes.

Electrician Trainees

Associated Builders and Contractors, in partnership with College of Sequoias, provides a state approved curriculum for general electrician trainees. For detailed information on enrolling in ABC’s Electrical Program contact your company’s HR or Training department.

Scholarships
Craft Training Scholarships are available on a limited basis; strict criteria applies. Scholarships are available to individuals interested in entering in to a career in construction.  If interested, you may come to our chapter office and to pick up Scholarship Application.  All applicants are required to submit a current resume, and essay describing why you want to enter a career in construction as well as where you see yourself in 5 years. Scholarship Applications must be picked up and returned in person.
